First-time author. Long-time DBA. New father. New to blogging.

My career has taken many turns over the years, but recently I’ve focused on contract and consulting work. I gravitated toward the DBA role because it’s dynamic and mentally engaging. It gives me room to troubleshoot, solve problems creatively, and avoid the grind of repetitive tasks. I lose focus easily, and the IT sector keeps me on my toes.

My current challenge is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Data Analytics full-time. It’s a demanding and rigorous program at a university that’s both tough and fair, exactly the kind of environment that pushes me to grow.

Outside of work, I play a little guitar and have a deep love for blues music. You can sometimes find me at an open Jam session or jamming in the basement with my 12 year old son on drums.
